What was the demand of 1929 sessions of the Congress at Lahore?

At the 1929 sessions of the Congress at Lahore, the demand for Purna Swaraj was made. The flag of India was hoisted by Jawaharlal Nehru on 31 December 1929 on the banks of Ravi river, in Lahore. The Congress asked the people of India to observe 26 January as Independence Day

January 26th would become India’s republic day much later on.
