LIC ADO Notifications
The Apprentice Development Officer (LIC ADO) Detailed Notification 2023 was released on 21st January 2023 for all zones consisting of a total of 9394 vacancies. The application process for the said post closed on 10th February 2023. Candidates willing to apply for the LIC ADO exam 20230 must start their preparation and stay updated about the online process.
As per 2019 LIC notifications, the LIC ADO Mains Examination was scheduled to be conducted on 11th August 2019. LIC has released revised exam dates for Mains Exam for the Apprentice Development Officers. As per the official notice, the Mains Exam for LIC ADO will now be conducted on September 22 2019.
The Prelims Examination was conducted on 6th July 2019 and 13th July 2019.

LIC ADO Vacancies

LIC ADO Eligibility
The candidates need to fulfill some of the eligibility criteria to get selected as an Apprentice Development Officer. The eligibility criteria for LIC ADO Recruitment are discussed below:

- Educational Qualifications:
The candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree of a University in India approved for the fellowship of Insurance Institute of India, Mumbai.
LIC ADO Exam Pattern
LIC ADO exam is conducted to recruit candidates for the post of Apprentice Development Officer. The exam consists of three levels:
- Written Test
- Phase -I: Preliminary Examination
- Phase -II: Mains Examination
- Personal Interview
- Medical Test
LIC ADO Prelims: Exam Pattern
The prelims exam has been categorized into three sections:
- Reasoning
- Numerical ability
- English language

The medium of language for all the categories is either English or Hindi except for English language and vocabulary. Candidates must pass in each paper along with the minimum marks in aggregate of three papers to qualify.

LIC ADO Salary
After being recruited as an Apprentice Development Officer, the candidates will be given a fixed amount as a stipend per month as per the rules of the Corporation. An ADO other than an Employee Apprentice will be paid equal to the minimum of the basic pay and dearness allowance.
The present stipend provided to an ADO is Rs. 34,503
The salary of a candidate after being appointed as a Probationary Officer is discussed below:

The total salary is inclusive of House Rent Allowance & City Compensatory Allowance and will be approximately ₹37,345/- in ‘A’ Class City.
LIC ADO Exam: Apply Online
Candidates can apply for the LIC ADO exam through the official website of LIC.
Aspirants must follow the following steps while filling up the application form:
- Candidates are first required to go to the LIC’s official website.
- Once you are at the home page, select the ‘Careers’ option.
- Select the option “LIC Apprentice Officer Recruitment”.
- Select the option “ Click here to apply online”.
- Before filling up the application forms, candidates will be directed to the on-line registration page.
- Candidates are required to enter their contact details and email-ID for successful registration. A provisional registration number and password will be generated by the system for future reference.
- Candidates must have a scanned copy of their photo-ID cards that will be needed while filling up the application forms.
- After successful submission of the application form, an e-Admit Card will be generated 2-3 weeks before the exam date.
- Admit cards can be downloaded from the official LIC website.

LIC ADO: Application fees
The mode of payment for the application fees / Intimation fees is online.
For SC/ST candidates, an initiation fee of Rs.50 and transaction charges should be paid. For the candidates other than SC/ST, application fees cum initiation charges of Rs.600 along with the transaction charge should be paid.
Apart from this, since the LIC ADO recruitment is a lengthy process and may take approximately 5 to 6 months for the entire procedure to complete, thus, candidates must prepare themselves well enough even before the recruitment starts. This will give them sufficient time for a thorough revision.
