IIT Mandi or Indian Institute of Technology Mandi is situated at Kamand valley in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. The campus is at a distance of 14 km from Mandi. The institute offers various UG, PG, and research programmes. The institute has signed MoUs with 11 international and 12 national universities. The campus is spread over 538 acres of land near river Uhl. The main campus of IIT Mandi has been designed as an environmentally friendly campus. The campus is divided into two sections, the South campus and the North campus. The institution has a library having more than 41,000 books. As per the media reports, during phase 1 of IIT Mandi placements 2021-22, 137 students were placed and 166 offers were made. In addition, in the first round of the 2021-22 placement drive, 51 students from IIT Mandi got Pre-Placement Offers (PPO). While comparing with the previous placement season of 2020-21, the highest package, average package, and the median package have increased by 9%, 13%, and 16% respectively, during IIT Mandi placements 2022. Moreover, the placement drive has so far attracted more than 102 companies.
