History of MPBSE

The MPBSE or Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (मध्यमिक शिक्षा मंडल) is an education Board in the state of Madhya Pradesh, which was established by the Madhya Pradesh Secondary Education Act, 1965. The main role of MPBSE is to promote education and make it more effective.

Functions of Madhya Pradesh State Board

• Conducting state-level high school and intermediate Exams
• Granting affiliation and recognition to schools across the state
• Making courses, formulating syllabus and prescribing textbooks to the affiliated schools
• Providing equivalence to Examinations conducted by other Boards.

MP Board Syllabus

The MPBSE designs the syllabus for all the Classes and schools affiliated to the MP Board are required to follow it. Exam Pattern of Madhya Pradesh Board

The Exam pattern of Class 10 and 12 Exams are decided by the MP Board and almost remains the same every year. The duration of all the Exams of Class 10 and 12 are 3 hours and the total marks are 100. MPBSE Exams and Results Statistics

Exams Conducted by Madhya Pradesh Board

The MP Board conducts two of the most widely taken Exams in the state which include the Class 10 Exam and the Class 12 Exam every year. An overview of each of these MP Board Exams is given in the following points.

MP Board 10th Exam (High School)

The MPBSE Class 10 Exams are conducted in the month of March every year. Almost 10 to 11 lakh students appear for the Class 10 MP Board Pariksha every year. This year’s results were declared on 25th May 2023. A total of 8,15,364 students appeared for Madhya Pradesh Class 10 Exams.  The overall pass percentage turned out to be 63.29%.

Meanwhile, last year, the total pass percentage stood at 62.84%, while last year’s pass percentage was 59.54%. Students who registered for the MP Board Exam can check their scores on the official websites of the MPBSE mpbse.nic.in and mpresults.nic.in.

MP Board 12th Exam (Intermediate)

The MPBSE Class 12 Exam is conducted every year in the month of March to April. Almost 7-8 million students appear for the Class 12 MP Board Pariksha every year. This year, the MP Board Class 12 Results were released on 25 May, 2023. This year, the Exam was taken by 7,27,044 students, and a 63.29% pass rate was recorded.

The pass percentage of the students has seen a steady increase over the past few years, which can be seen from the table given above. Graphical representation of overall pass percentage over the years is given below:

Supplementary Exams

The Madhya Pradesh Board conducts the supplementary Exams for Class 10 and 12. The MP Board supplementary Exams are conducted every year after the commencement of Board Exams. In 2022, the MP Board conducted the supplementary Exam for the candidates who could not pass the regular Board Examinations. MP Board Pariksha and Result Dates

The Class 10 Exams generally start by the first week of March and end by March last week. On the other hand, the Class 12 Exams generally start from the first or second week of March and end by the first week of April. The MP Board results are generally out by mid-May and then the supplementary Exams start.
