SIDBI Grade A Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants of SIDBI exam must meet the given eligibility conditions because 

  1. SIDBI conducts verification of eligibility criteria with reference to original documents.
  2. Verification is done, once the candidate qualifies all the stages of the exam and gets shortlisted for the final round.
  3. The exam conducting authority has the right to reject the candidature of the applicant at any stage of recruitment in case he or she is found to be not fulfilling the required criteria and,
  4. If the candidate is appointed, in such a case he or she is liable to be removed from service.
  5. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination / interview conducted by SIDBI but on final selection, the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificates have been issued to him / her by the Government of India.

SIDBI Age Limit – Grade A

As per the notification, the conducting authority has set upper and lower age limits for the Small Industrial Developments Bank of India exam. Candidates willing to appear for the SIDBI Grade A examination must be from the age group 21 to 28 years.

Precisely, the SIDBI age limit for Grade A post is as follows:

  • Lower Age limit – 21 years
  • Upper age limit – 28 years

The SIDBI Grade A age limit given above gives certain relaxation to candidates belonging to reserved categories. The SIDBI Assistant Manager Age relaxation for different category candidate is given below –

Important pointers regarding SIDBI Age Limit 

  1. The maximum age limit specified is applicable to General Category candidates and Economically Weaker (EWS) Category Candidates. 
  2. Candidates seeking age relaxation will be required to submit necessary certificate(s) in original/ along with photocopies at the time of Interview and at any subsequent stage of the recruitment process as required by SIDBI. 
    • Caste / Category Certificate issued by competent authority in the prescribed format as stipulated by Government of India in case of SC / ST / OBC/ PWBD category candidates. 
    • In case of candidates belonging to OBC category, certificate should specifically contain a clause that the candidate does not belong to creamy layer section excluded from the benefits of reservation for Other Backward Classes in Civil post & services under Government of India. 
    • Candidates belonging to OBC category but coming under creamy layer are not entitled to OBC reservation. They should indicate their category as General in the online application form. 
    • The candidate should possess a valid OBC certificate with a Non-creamy layer clause as per the Government of India guidelines, from time to time.
  3. If an ex-serviceman applies for various vacancies before joining any civil employment, he or she can avail of the benefit of reservation as ex-serviceman for any subsequent employment. 
    • However, to avail of this benefit, an ex-serviceman as soon as he/she joins any civil employment, should give self-declaration or undertaking to the concerned employer about date-wise details of application for various vacancies for which he/she had applied for before joining the initial civil employment. 
    • Further, this benefit would be available only in respect of vacancies which are filled on direct recruitment and wherever reservation is applicable to the ex-serviceman. 
    • There is no reservation for Ex-servicemen in Officers’ Cadre.
  4. Staff Candidates shall also be eligible to apply for the advertised post subject to their fulfilling the eligibility criteria, for which they may be given relaxation in age by 5 years and waiver from payment of application fee as applicable in General Recruitment. The age relaxation of 5 years shall be over and above the age relaxation already provided to their respective category i.e. SC/ST/OBC/PwBD.

SIDBI Eligibility in Terms of Nationality

Candidates willing to appear for the SIDBI exam are required to fulfil the SIDBI Grade A Eligibility condition in terms of Nationality Or Citizenship.

Only the candidate who fulfills the following conditions of nationality will be allowed to appear for the examination. 

A candidate who is:

  1. a citizen of India or 
  2. a subject of Nepal or 
  3. a subject of Bhutan or 
  4. a Tibetan refugee (who came over to India before 1st January1962) with the intention of permanently settling in India; or 
  5. a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malwi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. 

Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (2), (3), (4) or (5) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

SIDBI Grade A Educational Qualification

 The exam conducting body has set a minimum level of SIDBI education qualification that a candidate must possess in order to appear for the Small Industrial Development Board of India Exam.

The minimum educational qualification required to appear for the SIDBI Assistant manager exam is a Graduation degree. The details are mentioned below –

The candidate must have scored minimum 60% marks or first class (55% or Second class, in case of SC/ST), in aggregate in any of the above indicated qualifications. 

Important Pointers regarding SIDBI Assistant Manager Educational Qualification requirements –

  1. SIDBI reserves the right to raise or modify the eligibility criteria in minimum educational qualification, and percentage of marks depending upon the response. 
  2. The candidate must possess a valid Mark-sheet or Degree Certificate that he/ she is a Graduate / Post-graduate, as applicable on the day he / she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online. 
  3. Candidates whose results are awaited are not eligible to apply.
  4. Proper document from Board or University or Institution for having declared the result on or before the date specified in the official notification, has to be submitted at the time of Interview. 
  5. The date of passing the eligibility examination will be the date appearing on the marksheet or provisional certificate issued by University or Institution. 

SIDBI Assistant Manager Eligibility – Number of Attempts

The official notification has no mentions regarding  any maximum attempt for candidates willing to appear in the examination. This implies that candidates can apply for the exam as long as they satisfy the mentioned SIDBI Assistant manager age limit.
