CBSE Board Exams to Be Conducted as per CBSE Syllabus, Not NCERT Books

Central Board of Secondary Education has released a notice informing that CBSE Class 9, 10, 11 and 12 exams for 2020-21 will be conducted based on the syllabus prescribed by the CBSE and not according to that given in NCERT Textbooks. The notice was released on the official CBSE website on 16th Oct 2019. This information is important for Class 10 and 12 students who are preparing for the board exams.

CBSE Official Notice Regarding Board Exam Syllabus

CBSE has issued this circular stating that “In NCERT books, at certain places, it is mentioned that a particular part of the book is not for the purpose of examination/assessment”. Students are advised to go through the CBSE Class 10 and 12 syllabi uploaded by the CBSE on the official website (http://cbseacademic.nic.in/curriculum.html). They should do their preparation for the board exam 2020-21 according to the CBSE syllabus and not as per the syllabus given in the NCERT Book.
