MCQs to be Tougher in CBSE Class 10 and 12 Board Exam 2020

Central Board of Secondary Education has introduced a big change in the exam pattern of class 10 and 12, which is to be conducted in 2020. CBSE has introduced more number of MCQs in the board exam. This has been done to remove rote learning and increase analytical skills among students. As per the new marking scheme, each paper will have 20 marks allocated to objective type questions. This has given relaxation to the students from not writing the descriptive answers. However, at the same time, answering these questions will not be so easy.

Most students think that MCQs would be unchallenging. But this won’t be true. Students have to think critically to answer such questions. It is expected that the difficulty level of MCQs will resemble the level of competitive exams. Although a few of the questions will also be of easy level. So, to score good marks in the board exams students have to study in depth from the NCERT book. CBSE can form different types of MCQs by picking up any topic from the NCERT textbook. So, students need to have a stronghold on the basics and be very observant while reading the textbook.

CBSE is in the process of conducting a workshop for teachers across various schools in the country. Through the workshop, the board is preparing teachers on the new exam pattern introduced in the curriculum. To know the complete detail and changes made in class 12 board exam visit the CBSE class 12 new exam pattern 2020.

MCQs are expected to be tougher than the subjective one. So, students have to pull up their socks to score marks in the board exams. Studying for class 10 and class 12 objective type questions will also help them prepare for the competitive exams. Students should thus give their 100% and leave no stone unturned in their exam preparation.

The CBSE board exam 2020 is to be conducted as per the CBSE syllabus and not NCERT books. So students are advised to prepare for the exam as per the CBSE syllabus provided in the CBSE official website.
