Latest Update: On 3rd January 2023, UPPSC Exam Calendar 2023 was released by the commission. As per the notification, the Combined State/ Upper Subordinate Service or UP PCS Exam 2023 will be conducted on May 14. The exam for Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF) and Range Forest Officer (RFO) will also be held on the same day.
The UPPSC exam 2023 notification will be released soon. The mains exam for UPPSC PCS will start from 23rd September 2023 onward.

The High Court of Allahabad has directed the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission to release afresh results after giving 5% per reservation to ex-army personnel on group-B and group-C posts. This decision was taken after petitioners demanded a 5% reservation for ex-servicemen in the PCS 2021 and the Assistant Conservator of Forest/Range Forest Officer Services Examination-2021.
Latest UPPSC PCS Result Updates –
- UPPSC has introduced changes in the selection process of the interview. Now, officers like former judges, brigadiers and eminent educationists will be called for interview apart from subject matter experts, IPS and IAS officers. Also, there must be at least two members on the panel of the Interview Board. This change has been introduced to raise the standard of interview and bring more transparency to the process.
- UPPSC PCS Prelims exam was conducted on 24th October 2021. The results for PCS Prelims 2021 were released on 1st December 2021 on the official website. The candidates can download the PDF to check the list of qualified candidates.

UPPSC PCS Result 2021
UPPSC Prelims is scheduled for 13th June 2021 while Mains will start from 3rd October. Later, the Prelims exam was postponed and was finally conducted on 24th October 2021. UPPSC PCS Mains Result 2020
The UPPSC Mains 2020 Result was released on 20th March 2021. 845 candidates made it to PCS Interview 2020. The mains examination took place between 21st and 25th January 2021. 4589 candidates appeared for the PCS Mains 2020 examination.

The UPPSC PCS Mains 2019 result had been declared by the Commission on its official website. The UPPSC Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services (Mains) 2019 Examination took place from 22nd September 2020 onwards. A total of 811 candidates have been declared successful in the UPPSC Mains 2019 result.
The PCS Mains 2019 took place between 22nd September and 26 September 2020 in the examination centres of Gaziabad, Prayagraj and Lucknow. 4783 candidates took UPPSC Mains 2019. The final result of UPPSC PCS 2018 is released on 11th September 2020. UPPSC PCS 2018 interview was revised from 13th July onward to 10th August onward. The interview process for UPPSC 2018 got over on 25th August 2020. 2669 candidates were declared successful for PCS Interview 2018. The revised results have come on the heels of Khusboo Bansal vs. State of Uttar Pradesh case. The Lucknow High Court has given a verdict that all women candidates belonging from states other than UP will also stand as ‘passed’ if their marks were over and above the cut-off range decided for the women candidates who are domicile of UP. This way cut-off range of General Category, Physically-Challenged (backlog), Reserved Category for women candidates all over the country for UPPSC Prelims exam 2018 has been declared as same.

The interviews for UPPSC 2016 were held in December 2018 and January 2019. In February 2019, the final result of the PCS Exam 2016 was declared by the commission.
UPPSC Result Overview
UPPSC Results are announced periodically on the official website of the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC). The UPPSC conducts various examinations to recruit for Group A, B, and C posts in the Uttar Pradesh government machinery.

The Provincial Civil Service (PCS) Exam or the Combined State/ Upper Subordinate Services Examination is held by the UPPSC to recruit Group A and B officers into the various administrative branches of the state government.
Based on merit ranking, the selected candidates become Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Block Development Officer, Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Assistant Commissioner (Commercial Tax) etc.
Also, the PCS officers can become IAS officers later in their careers.

The PCS exam pattern and syllabus are quite similar to that of the Civil Service Exam conducted by the Union Public Service Commission.
The UP PCS exam comprises three stages:
- Prelims – 2 objective type (MCQs) papers
- Mains – 8 theory (descriptive/essay type) papers
- Interview
Candidates who clear the Prelims stage, qualify for the Mains stage and those who pass are then called for a Personality Test by the UPPSC board.
