AIR FORCE COMMON ADMISSION TEST is conducted by Indian Air Force two times a year. Indian Air Force (IAF) released the AFCAT 1 2023 notification to recruit for vacancies in Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches on 1st December 2022.

AFCAT Exam Qualifications
The qualifications required for the AFCAT exam is mainly based on the following
Nationality: Candidate must be a citizen of India as per Indian citizenship act, 1955.
Age: The age limit notified by AFI is different for Flying Branch through AFCAT and NCC Special Entry and Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) Branch. The age limit criteria for different posts are given below:

AFCAT Exam Qualifications – Physical Standards
Height |
Male
- The minimum height for Flying Branch will be 162.5 cm.
- The minimum height for entry into ground duty branches will be 157.5 cm.
- For Gorkhas and individual belonging to North-Eastern regions of India and hilly regions of Uttarakhand, the minimum acceptable height will be 5 cm less (152.5 cm).
- For Lakshwadweep candidates, the minimum acceptable height can be reduced by 2 cm (155.5 cm).
Female
- Flying Branch – 162.5 cm
- Other Branches – 152 cm
- For candidates belonging to the North East region or hilly regions of Uttarakhand, a lower minimum height of 147 cm will be accepted.
- For Lakshwadweep candidates, the minimum acceptable height will be 150 cm.
