What is the CSIR NET Exam?

The National Testing Agency administers a national exam to pick candidates for Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) and to evaluate their suitability for lecture jobs in Indian colleges and universities. Eligibility Criteria for CSIR NET 2023

• The applicant must be a citizen of India.
• For the position of JRF, the maximum age restriction must be 28 years.
• For the position of lectureship, there is no maximum age restriction.
• Applicants with graduate degrees, irrespective of whether in science graduate, engineering, or another area, are qualified for the fellowship only after enrolling in a PhD./ Integrated PhD program during the validity period of two years.
• Applicants who have finished 10+2+3 years of the aforementioned qualifying exam or are registered in M.Sc. are also welcome to apply in the above field under the Result Awaited Category.
