The GIC Assistant Manager recruiting process is divided into two stages: an online written exam and a personal interview. The written test is a total of 150 marks according to the GIC Assistant Manager exam pattern. There are four sections of the GIC Assistant Manager syllabus:

  • Type: Unidirectional & Bi-directional problems on circular, square, rectangular, hexagonal tables & can be combined with Blood Relations or Double Line up type problems

Inequalities
  • Type: one statement is followed by some conclusions, which are to be decoded.

GIC Assistant Manager 2023 Descriptive Exam Syllabus

The descriptive text of the GIC Assistant Manager Exam 2023 is divided into three sections: essay, comprehension, and precise. The descriptive test will take a total of 60 minutes to complete.

Comprehension: 

A text will be given for the comprehension question. Some questions will be based on the passage. The candidates will be required to submit their responses to the questions in their own language.

Precis: Precis writing consists of a paragraph. Students must write a summary of the assigned paragraph. Understand the key elements in the text and summarise them properly. While summarising a paragraph, the core of the text should not change. Candidates should attempt to produce a Precise (Summary) that is one-third the length of the original paragraph. 

Essay: In the essay writing question, a word limit for the essay will be provided. The candidates are required to introduce the given topic in the first paragraph. Next is the description of the background of the topic and explaining why it is a noticeable issue. Write in detail about the issue in the second paragraph. Try to elaborate your thoughts on the topic with good examples in the second paragraph. In the third and the last paragraph, summarize the issue along with concluding it. In the second paragraph, go into depth regarding the problem. In this paragraph, try to elaborate on your opinions about the issue by using appropriate examples. Summarize and conclude the topic in the third and final paragraph.

GIC Assistant Manager 2023 Interview Syllabus

Candidates who pass the GIC Assistant Manager scale-1 written test will be invited to a personal interview round. The interview will take place offline and the candidate will be evaluated by a panel of board members. The GIC Assistant Manager interview is used to assess the candidate’s professional knowledge and critical competencies. For the interview round, there is no set GIC Assistant Manager syllabus or exam structure.
