The UPSC NDA 2 Result 2022 for the National Defense Academy and Naval Academy Examination (NDA-II) Exam was published on September 19, 2022, at the UPSC’s official website. NDA Results

The UPSC NDA 1 Result 2023 for the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (NDA-1) Exam was released on May 17, 2023, at the UPSC’s official website. The roll numbers of the applicants who passed the written test have been included in the NDA 2 result 2023 PDF that has been released by UPSC.  NDA 1 2023 was conducted on April 16, 2023. A total of 7964 candidates had qualified the written exam.

The Services Selection Board (SSB) of the Ministry of Defence will conduct an interview with candidates who qualified for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the National Defence Academy for the 150th Course and the 112th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC), which will begin on January 2024. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the roll numbers of the candidates who passed the NDA 1 written exam, which was administered on April 16, 2023. The PDF of the NDA Results was posted on upsc.gov.in on 17 May, 2023.

NDA Result 2020

The commission conducted a common exam for NDA Paper I and Paper II (written exam) on September 6th 2020 due to delays in the schedule. However, the NDA result 2020 for both Paper I and Paper II was expected to be released separately by UPSC. 

The commission has announced the NDA result 2020 on the official site on 9th October. Candidates meanwhile can go through the important NDA result dates highlighted below:

UPSC has released the NDA 1 2020 Marks on March 12th, 2021 for those candidates who have secured names in the final result. Candidates can check NDA 1 2021 scorecard on PDF provided below –

The UPSC has announced the NDA 1 2020 Final Result on March 6th 2021. The list, in order of merit of 533 candidates, who have qualified on the basis of the results of the Written Examination held by the UPSC on 6th September 2020 and the subsequent Interviews held by the Services Selection Board. The results of the Medical Examination have not been taken into account in preparing these lists. The marks of the candidates will be available on the website after 15 days from the date of declaration, candidates can check their NDA 1 2020 marks on official website.

National Defense Academy and Naval Academy 2 2020 Final result is declared by UPSC. The Commission has released the 2020 NDA Result list, in order of merit of 478 candidates, who have qualified on the basis of the results of the Written Examination held on 6th September 2020 and the subsequent Interviews held by the Services Selection Board. The Union Public Service Commission has announced the final result of NDA II 2019 and selected a total of 662 candidates for admission in the 144th Course of National Defence Academy (NDA) and 106th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC).

NDA Marking Scheme

The Union Public service commission follows a pattern for calculation of scores. The NDA marking scheme that is prescribed in the official notification and is followed by the commission for calculation of final scores is as mentioned below-

1. In General Ability Test (GAT), for each correct answer candidates are awarded 4 marks.
2. In the Mathematics section, 2.5 marks are awarded for each correct answer.
3. And, for each wrong answer, candidates lose 0.33 marks. 

NDA Scorecard

NDA mark sheet is made available in 15 days from the date of release of NDA final result. Candidates will be given 30 days time to download the NDA scorecard. The scorecard of NDA exam display the following information-

1. Name of the candidates
2. Roll numbers
3. Sectional and Overall scores

Stages of NDA result

UPSC declares NDA result in two stages. First, the result for the written exam is released and then the final result is declared. The stages of NDA Result 2022 are explained below.

NDA Result for Written Exam 2023

The written exam comprises two sections i.e. GAT and Mathematics which counts to a total of 900 marks. Candidates who are able to score the minimum qualifying marks in the written exam are selected for SSB Interview for Intelligence and Personality Test.

Final NDA Result 2023

After the completion of the SSB Interview round, UPSC declares the NDA final result. Applicants who are able to make it up till this level are selected for admission to the Indian Security Forces based on their performance. SSB Interview round is conducted in two stages and it is important for candidates to secure separate minimum qualifying marks in both the tests.

After the declaration of the Final NDA Result

Candidates who have successfully qualified both the stages of the NDA examination are required to submit the original certificates along with one photocopy of each Original Matriculation pass certificate and Original 10+2 pass certificate.

NDA Result – Tie-Breaking  

When the aggregate marks of two or more candidates are equal in NDA exam, UPSC resolves the tie based on the age of the candidate i.e. candidates older in age will be given preference.

NDA Cut Off 

The UPSC releases NDA Cut Off after the completion of the recruitment process. The cut-off marks for the NDA  exam is different for the written examination and the SSB Interview round. Candidates have to score the minimum cut off as set by UPSC in both written as well as the interview round. 

The cut off marks for the NDA written exam is calculated out of 900 marks while the final NDA cut off which is the marks secured by the last recommended candidates is determined out of 1800 marks.

NDA Cut off 2022 (Expected)

NDA I Cut off 2021 

The UPSC NDA I Cut-off for 2021 is listed here. To advance to the next round of the exam, which had 900 total marks, applicants needed to obtain 25% of the maximum score in each subject.

NDA II Cut Off 2021

The exam was 900 marks in total and the candidates would have to score 25% marks in each subject to proceed to the next round.
