NDA 2 Notification 2023 Released! Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the NDA 2 2023 Notification consisting of 395 vacancies on the 17th May 2023. NDA 2 2023 will be held on the September 3 this year. The application forms have been rolled out for the same. Applicants intending to join the forces can fill out the online application forms starting from the May 17th to 6th June by 6:00 pm. NDA Notification – NDA/NA Recruitment

The Union Public Service Commission conducted the NDA recruitment twice in a year. The NDA/NA notification is released by the commission to fill up the vacancies in the Army, Navy and the Indian Air Force of NDA.

The UPSC recently announced 395 vacancies in its notification for the NDA I Test 2023. Separate vacancies are released for various services, and for males and females. Candidates must note that these vacancies are provisional and may change depending on the training capacity of the NDA. According to the announcement, there will be roughly 400 NDA positions available for the NDA exam in 2022. Female candidates who are interested can now apply through the NDA selection process. There are a total of 19 NDA seats available for women this year. This number represents the total number of female applicants that were accepted into the Indian military’s various branches.

NDA Eligibility

The NDA Notification clearly mentions the eligibility criteria for candidates who can appear for the NDA recruitment exam. Aspirants willing to fill out the application form for NDA Notification 2023 must fulfil the prescribed eligibility conditions. 

The eligibility for NDA recruitment is as follows:

  1. Candidates must be a citizen of Indian Origin.
  2. Only unmarried male and female candidates can apply for NDA exams.
  3. Candidates born between 2nd January 2005 and 1st January 2008 are eligible to fill out an online application for NDA recruitment.
  4. For the Indian Army, candidates possess Class 12th pass certification or equivalent degree.
  5. For the Indian Navy and Air Force, candidates must possess a Class 12th certificate from a recognised board or university with Physics and Mathematics as a compulsory subjects.

NOTE :

  1. Candidates appearing in the 11th class exam are not eligible for this examination.
  2. Those candidates who have yet to qualify in the 12th class or equivalent examination and are allowed to appear provided they submit proof of passing the 12th class or equivalent examination by the prescribed date and no request for extending this date will be entertained on the grounds of late conduct of Board/University Examination, delay in declaration of results or any other ground whatsoever.

NDA Online Application

The application procedure for the NDA exam starts with the release of the NDA Notification. Aspirants are required to fill out the NDA online application form and submit the Application fee to confirm their registration for NDA recruitment.

The steps to fill out the application form along with the necessary fee is mentioned in the NDA notification. The application fee is Rs 100 and SC/ST/Sons of JCOs/ORs are exempted from fee payment. 

Aspirants of the next NDA recruitment process have to follow the given below steps to fill out the application form – 

  1. Visit the UPSC official website
  2. Go through the NDA Notification carefully and click the registration link
  3. Enter the required details (Name, mail ID, phone number, etc) for registration
  4. Choose the preferred branch
  5. Verify the details given and submit the NDA registration form, Registration ID and password will be generated and sent to the registered mobile number and mail Id.
  6. Complete the application form, select NDA exam centre.
  7. Upload scanned images of photograph and signature
  8. Agree to the terms and conditions and submit the application form
  9. Pay the application fee. 
  10. Save and download the application form for future reference.

NDA Exam Pattern  

The Union Public Service Commission is the conducting body and reserves the right to set the exam pattern of the NDA examination. 

The NDA selection Process is divided into two stages-

  1. The written exam of 900 marks – is further divided into two parts – Paper I Mathematics and Paper II General Ability Test. Each paper is of 2 hours 30 minutes.
  2. SSB Interview – divided into two stages – Stage I – Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests and Picture Perception and Description Test (PPDT). Stage II – comprises Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests and the Conference.

NDA Syllabus

The syllabus for both NDA I and NDA II exams is the same. The NDA syllabus is prescribed by the commission in detail in the NDA notification. 

The syllabus comprises Mathematics and General Ability Test. Candidates need to be thorough with Class 11th and 12th NCERTs for maths. 

The GAT has two papers, one is English and the other is General Knowledge which includes (History, Geography, General Science, Current Affairs, Chemistry and Physics).
