IIT Dhanbad – Admission
The admissions for the UG programmes are done through Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Advanced) conducted at the all India level by the IITs.
The steps followed for 2021 admission are given below.
Step 1: Payment of fees
The students must log in, make the required payment and register online by entering the required details. If the student has an issue related to login, they should call on the phone numbers given on the official website and get the issue resolved. For payment related issues, students must fill out the ‘Payment Complaint Form’ in the menu of the New Admission home page with the details concerned.
Step 2: Registration
The students must be ready with the following documents before starting to fill out the registration form:
(i) Scanned copy of passport size photo
• Photograph should have no shadows and red eyes.
• Maximum size 200 KB,
• Scanned photograph format should be .jpg or .png only
• File name should be of 10 character maximum
(ii) Scanned copy of applicant’s signature
• Maximum size 200 KB
• Scanned signature format should be .jpg or .png only
• File name should be of 10 character maximum
(iii) Scanned copy of Class X mark sheet in PDF format (Max. 200 KB)
(iv) Scanned copy of Class X certificate in PDF format (Max. 200 KB)
(v) Scanned copy of Class XII mark sheet in PDF format (Max. 200 KB)
(vi) Scanned copy of Class XII certificate in PDF format (Max. 200 KB)
Once the registration process is completed, the students will be given the admission number and college email ID.
Step 3: Submission of Relevant Documents
(i) Seat Confirmation Letter issued by JoSAA.
(ii) Class X mark sheet or birth certificate for date of birth confirmation.
(iii) Class XII mark sheet / pass certificate (Qualifying Examination).
(iv) Medical Certificate [in the specified format provided on the JoSAA-2021 website, Annexure 7].
(v) Transfer Certificate/College or School Leaving Certificate/Migration Certificate.
(vi) Anti-ragging affidavit duly signed by the candidate and his/her parents/guardians.
