Quitting them at once can be a complicated task as we are dependent on it in one or the other way.   • Avoid checking your phone first thing in the morning

The majority of people check their phones first thing in the morning. Either they use their smartphone as alarm clocks or to check emails or messages. Going through your phone in the morning might change your personal agenda that you have set for yourself and influence you to act in a slightly different way. Therefore, avoid using the phone for at least an hour after waking up and involve in other healthy activities like exercising or meditating.

  • Use social media detox apps

There are many social media apps that exist on the play store and track your social media usage on a daily basis. It alerts you when you are exceeding your usage limit and helps you to stay within safe boundaries.

The moment you open your smartphone or while studying if you are constantly bombarded with app notifications, it gets hard to stay focused. Therefore, disable your notification button on the smartphone or keep your phone on silent mode during studies.

  • Delete the apps that consume most of your time

The last but not the least is to delete all the social media apps on your phone. This is a huge step and you might find it hard to do so. However, if you are unable to keep your hands away from social media, then the best alternative is to delete everything and focus on what is needed.
