Goa Police Recruitment 2021 Process

The Goa police recruitment takes place in three stages for most of the posts, such as PSI PC. These three stages are-

  • The written examination
  • The physical eligibility test, and
  • The personal interview

Each candidate is required to appear for the initial written examination and qualify for the physical eligibility test, upon which they are selected based on their overall marks and interview performance.

The Goa Police Recruitment Eligibility Criteria

Candidates are required to fulfil these eligibility criteria in order to apply and get recruited in their designated posts under Goa Police. These include:

  1. For educational qualifications, candidates must have obtained a higher secondary school certificate from a recognised board or have obtained a diploma in Security and Investigation Technology.
  2. The minimum age of the applicant must be 18 years, and the maximum age for general candidates should not exceed 28 years. However, for other category candidates, a relaxation of the upper age limit does apply, according to the government rule. Five years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.
  3. For the recruitment of male constables and SI’s, they must:
  • Be of minimum 168 cm in height and 80-85 cm in the chest.
  • Their weight should be in accordance with their height, which is relative.
  • The maximum time required for them to complete a 100m race should be 14 seconds, and an 800m race should be 2.5 minutes.
  1. For female applicants, the criteria are:
  • Their height should be a minimum of 160 cm, and their weight by 45 kg.
  • They must not take more than 16.5 seconds to complete a 100-meter race.
