Haryana Police Constable Vacancy: Post Categories

The posts under Haryana Police Constable have been divided into Category 1, 2 and 3.

• For Category 1 of the Haryana Police Constable Vacancy, there are 5,500 vacant posts for male candidates. Once selected, the candidates will be doing General Duty. Among these vacant posts, 1980 are for General candidates, 990 are reserved for SC, 770 and 400 are reserved for BCA and BCB castes, respectively. One hundred ten posts have been reserved for ESM-SC and ESM-BCA castes each, while 165 posts have been reserved for ESM-BCB. For EWS, there are 550 vacant posts.
• In category 2, 1100 vacant posts are there for the female candidates. For General category candidates, there are 396 posts available. 154 and 88 posts are reserved for BCA and BCB. Seventy posts are reserved for EWS while 49 for ESM-Gen. Fourteen vacant posts are reserved for ESM-SC and ESM-BCA each. For ESM-BCB, 21 posts are reserved.
• For Category 3 of the Haryana Police Constable new vacancy, 698 posts are reserved for female candidates in HAP Durga Shakti Constables. Two hundred fifty-two vacancies are available for General candidates, whereas 125, 97 and 56 vacancies are available for SC, BCA and BCB categories. 70 and 49 vacancies are reserved for EWS and ESM-Gen. 14 each for ESM-SC and ESM-BCA. Twenty-one vacancies are reserved for ESM-BCB.

Educational Qualification For The Three Vacancy Categories of Haryana Police Constable Vacancy

• The candidate should pass the Matric (or higher education) exam having Hindi or Sanskrit as a subject.

Haryana Police Constable Vacancy: Rules and Regulations Concerning Candidates’ Age

The candidate should be 18-25 years of age on the first day of the month when the applications were first invited – 1/12/2020. However, since the exam is happening after a delay of almost a year, it would be interesting to see whether the government allows for any relaxation in the upper limit for the candidate’s age.

• There is a relaxation in the maximum age limit of 5 years for candidates belonging to the reserved categories.
• For ex-servicemen, the gap between their resignation from services to the date on which the applications are invited (1/12/2020) should not exceed 4 years.
