Eligibility Criteria of Indian Navy SSR
Eligibility for Senior Secondary Recruitment in the Indian Navy is determined by a number of factors:
- Age
- Educational qualifications
- Nationality

Age
Candidates must have been born between January 1, 2002 and January 31, 2005. (Both dates inclusive).
Educational Qualification
Applicants must have at least of a 10+2 degree in Maths and Physics, as well as at least one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Biology, or Computer Science, from a Board of School Education authorized by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
Provided that candidates with experience in sports, diving, and extracurricular activities will be preferred.
Nationality

Test of Physical Fitness
To be eligible for the Indian Navy SSR Employment 2022, candidates must pass the Physical Fitness Test. The PFT will comprise of a 1.6-kilometer run that must be finished in under seven minutes. Candidates are required to complete 20 squats and 10 push-ups (Uthak Baithak).
Medical Standards
To be eligible for the Indian Navy SSR Employment 2023, a candidate must be at least 157cm tall. A person’s weight should be appropriate to his or her height.
Candidates are required to expand their chest by at least 5 cm. According to Navy Order (Special) 01/2008, the candidate must be in optimal health and free of any defect that would hinder the successful performance of tasks both onshore and afloat in peace and war conditions.
Candidates should be free of disease, including cardiovascular problems, surgical deformities (such as Knock knees), psychological illnesses, and ear infections.
Visual Requirements (Distant vision only)
Without glasses, the better eye is a 6/6, the worst eye is a 6/9. Better Eye 6/6, Worse Eye 6/6 with glasses.
Tattoos are only permitted on the inner side of the forearms, from the inside side of the elbow to the wrist, and on the opposite of the hand or back (dorsal) of the hand. Permanent tattoos on some other portion of the body are not permitted, and applicants will be denied employment.
