IPS Exam 2023 Allocation of the Exam Centre

The UPSC follows certain norms for allocating centres to candidates. Primarily, centres are allocated on a first-apply-first-allot basis according to the preference of the centres of candidates. They have to mention the preferred centre while applying for the exam.

When one centre is filled to its full capacity, it is marked as frozen. No more candidates are allocated to that exam centre.

The UPSC always holds the authority to change the exam centre and the exam dates if needed.

How to know your IPS Exam centre?

Candidates will be informed about the centre they have to reach to give the exam well beforehand. They can know the same in the following ways:

  • Once the admit cards are released, the candidates will get a message on their registered mobile number declaring the same and instructing them to download it from the official website.
  • After logging in on the official website, the candidates will find the Download Admit Card tab. On the admit card, the exam centre’s name will be present.

Knowing the exam centre is utterly essential. If the centre’s location is quite far from the candidate’s location, they need to arrange for transport. It is recommended that candidates minutely choose the options of the exam centre while applying online.

This list of UPSC Exam Centres is the same for the UPSC Civil Services Exam 2023, as is released in the UPSC Notification.

Any changes in the centres made by the Commission at their discretion would be updated here. The Examination will be held at the following UPSC Exam Centres.
