West Bengal Police Nationality Requirement
Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply for the position of West Bengal Police Constable and West Bengal Police Sub Inspector (SI). Citizens of countries other than India shall be disqualified.
West Bengal Police Language Requirement
The candidate must be able to communicate in Bengali and read, write, and speak it. This rule, however, will not apply to people who are permanent residents in Darjeeling and Kalimpong Districts’ hill sub-divisions. Separate provisions will apply to applicants from the Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts’ hill sub-divisions.
