What is the B.Tech/B.E academic session pattern at IIT Jodhpur?

The academic year typically extends from the end of July to the middle of July the following year. According to the following timeframes, the academic session is divided into three parts: two regular semesters and a summer term.

Semester II begins in the last week of December and ends by the last week of April.

Is branch change accepted in IIT Jodhpur for the B.Tech. programme?
An undergraduate student may apply for a branch change only at the end of the second semester if the student satisfies the following criteria.

  • At the end of the second semester, students should have a CGPA:
  • greater than or equal to 7.0 for SC/ST and PD applicants
  • greater than or equal to 8.0 for all other applicants.
  • No backlog at the end of the second semester.
  • There should be no disciplinary action taken against the student.
