The Indian Institute of Technology Patna is one of the new IITs established on August 6, 2008, by an Act of the Indian Parliament. The IIT Patna campus is located in Bihta, around 40 kilometres from Patna. The institute has built modern facilities that are completely equipped with all necessary equipment, software, and machinery that are used to train and educate students.
