SSC CHSL Exam Question Papers 2023

The Staff Selection Commission has released SSC CHSL 2023 Notification PDF for around 4500 vacancies along with the revised selection process and exam date. SSC CHSL Tier I was held from 9th March to 21st March 2023. SSC CHSL Tier 2 Exam 2022-23 will be held on 26th June 2023 for the candidates who qualify for SSC CHSL Tier 1 Exam. After shortlisting the candidates who clear the Tier-2 examination, the dates for the Tier-3 examination will be announced on the official website of the Staff Selection Commission.

• SSC CHSL Tier-1 examination is a computer-based objective type examination, which contains multiple choice questions. The Tier-1 exam comprises the following sections:
  • English Language (Basic Knowledge)
  • General Intelligence 
  • Quantitative Aptitude (Basic Arithmetic Skill)
  • General Awareness
• A total of 100 questions are asked with 25 questions per section. 
• The total maximum marks for the exam is 200, with 50 as maximum marks for each question.
• Total time duration for the entire exam is 60 minutes except for those candidates who require a scribe (80 minutes are given to such candidates)
• There is negative marking of 0.50 marks  for each wrong answer.

SSC CHSL Tier-2  Exam Pattern

• The Tier-2 exam paper contains essay writing,letter writing etc.
• • It is a descriptive paper of 100 Marks in ‘Pen and Paper’ mode

• The duration of this Paper will be one hour. 

• Candidates who opt for a scribe are given additional time i.e. 20 minutes (extra). 

• Candidates must get a minimum score of 33 per cent to clear the Tier-2 examination.
• The paper has to be written either Hindi or in English. Candidates who attempt the Writing the paper partly in English and partly in hindi is penalised and such candidates are  awarded zero marks.

SSC CHSL Tier-3 Exam Pattern

• The Tier-3 exam comprises a skill test or typing test, which is of qualifying nature. 
• Errors made in the typing test will be calculated up to 2 decimal places. 
• The final merit of the shortlisted candidates will be based on the aggregate score obtained in the SSC CHSL Tier – I and Tier – II exams.
