UPSC conducts the CAPF exam every year to recruit Assistant Commandants for the vacancies in different Central Armed Police Forces like Assam Rifles (AR), Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), National Security Guard (NSG) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).

Union Public Service Commission released the UPSC CAPF 2023 Notification and application form for UPSC CAPF Exam 2023 on its official website on 26th April 2023. The UPSC CAPF exam is scheduled to be conducted on 06th August 2023. The selection will be done through Written-test, Physical tests, and Interview/Personality tests. The online application window has been opened from 26th April 2023 onwards. The last date to apply online for UPSC CAPF 2023 Exam is 16th May 2023.

UPSC CAPF 2023: Overview

Pre-requisites to fill CAPF Application Form 2023

• The candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfil all the qualifications for admission to the examination. 
• Before applying online, candidates should make sure that they possess the scanned copies of 
  • Photograph 
  • Signature

• Candidate should have details of one Photo ID Card viz. 
  • Aadhaar Card
  • Voter Card
  • PAN Card
  • Passport
  • Driving License
  • Any other Photo ID Card issued by the State/Central Government. 
• The details of this Photo ID Card will have to be provided by the candidate while filling up the online application form. 
• This Photo ID Card will be used for all future referencing and the candidate is advised to carry this Photo ID Card while appearing for the Examination/Personality Test. 

Application Procedure for CAPF 2023:

• Candidates are required to apply Online using the official website.
• Candidates will be required to complete the Online Application Form containing two stages viz. Part-I and Part-II.
• Detailed instructions for filling up Online Applications are available on the official website.
• The modes of payment for the exam are given below:
  • Remitting the money in any Branch of the State Bank of India.
  • Visa Card
  • Master Card
  • RuPay Credit Card
  • Debit Card
• Applicants who opt for “Pay by Cash” mode should print the system generated Pay-in-slip during part II registration and deposit the fee at the counter of the SBI Branch on the next working day only. 
• SC/ST/Female candidates are exempted from payment of fee.
• The applicants must ensure that while filling their Application Form, they are providing their valid and active e-mail IDs.
• Candidates are strongly advised to apply online well in time without waiting for the last date for submission of Online Applications. 
• The Commission has introduced a provision of withdrawal of application for the candidate, who does not want to appear at the Examination, he/she may withdraw his/her application. 
• UPSC has no provision to refund any fee amount paid by candidates, so in case of successful withdrawal of application, the fees will not be refunded.

CAPF AC Registration Fee 2023

To apply for the UPSC CAPF AC exam, candidates must pay an application fee of Rs. 200/-. However, female candidates and those belonging to SC and ST categories are exempted from paying the application fee. Candidates can pay the application fee through various methods such as remitting the money to any branch of the State Bank of India, using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card, or using the Internet Banking of SBI. The examination fee can only be paid through the modes mentioned above, and any other mode of payment is not acceptable. Once the candidates have paid the fees, it cannot be refunded.
