The Union Public Service Commission holds Written Examination in the month of August every year for recruitment of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) viz. Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force(CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).
Union Public Service Commission released the UPSC CAPF 2023 Notification and application form for UPSC CAPF Exam 2023 on its official website on 26th April 2023. The UPSC CAPF exam is scheduled to be conducted on 06th August 2023. Candidates awaiting the UPSC CAPF Notification 2023 filled up the application form online on the official website of UPSC. The last date to submit the CAPF online Application form is 16th May 2023.
The candidates should carefully opt for the exam centres while applying online for CAPF. The candidates answer papers will not be evaluated if he/she appears at centres other than the one mentions in the admit card. In such cases the applicant’s candidatures will be liable to cancellation.

Note:
- The centres and the date of holding the examination as mentioned above are can be changed by the Commission as per the requirement.
- There will be a ceiling on the number of candidates allotted to each of the Centres, except Chennai, Dispur, Kolkata and Nagpur.
- Allotment of Centres will be on the “first-apply-first allot” basis.
- Applicants are, thus, advised to apply early so that they could get a Centre of their choice.
- Commission has the right to change the Centres at their discretion if the situation demands
Candidates admitted to the examination will be informed of the timetable and place/places of examination. No request for a change of centre will be entertained.
