Vacancies

The Bank of Maharashtra 2023 has posted 551 vacancies for Generalist Officer Scale-II, III, IV & V openings. Out of all the vacancies, 425 vacancies are for Scale II Officers (Generalist officers and Forex officers), while 100 are for Scale III Officers, 23 for Scale IV and 3 for Scale V.

Eligibility Criteria

The Bank of Maharashtra has released the eligibility criteria for its Generalist Officer Recruitment exam in its official notification. The criteria cover educational qualifications, age limit, work experience, and domicile requirements on the part of the candidate.

Age Limit

As per the eligibility criteria by the Bank of Maharashtra, the age limit is as follows:

• For the candidates aspiring for Generalist Officer Scale-II, their age must be between 25 and 35 years.
• The candidates aspiring for Generalist Officer Scale-III must be between 25 and 38 years.

However, there are relaxations in the age limit available for the candidates belonging to the reserved categories.

Educational Qualification

The educational requirement for the Bank of Maharashtra Generalist officer states that the candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with an aggregate of 60% or a professional qualification such as CFA/ CA/ FRM/ ICWA.

Domicile Requirements

Candidates belonging to any state of India will be considered eligible for the post of Generalist Officer.

Selection Process

The selection process for the Bank of Maharashtra Generalist Officer comprises 2 main stages:

1) Written Examination (150 marks)

In the written examination, all the candidates must take an online exam administered by IBPS. The total mark for this exam is 150. After this exam, the successful candidates will be invited for the interview process, a ratio of 1:4 based on their ranking.

2) Interview Process (100 marks)

The interview process has a grade distribution of 100. For the Unreserved and EWS categories, the minimum score to qualify for the interview and final selection is 50%. For the reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PwBD), the minimum score is 45%.

The final selection of the candidates will follow the review of documents. All the candidates chosen for the Bank of Maharashtra Generalist Officer positions through the recruitment process will be serving a one-year probationary period. They also need to sign a service bond for a minimum of 2 years of service of Rs.2,00,000.
