IBPS has released the latest notification for IBPS Probationary Officer 2022 Exam. A total of 11 banks are participating in the recruitment of probationary officers and management trainees through this exam of IBPS.
Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is a government-owned recruitment agency to manage and execute the bank hiring process at the national level. Working under the jurisdiction of the Union Ministry of Finance, IBPS conducts exams for various positions within all the Public Sector Banks, Regional Rural Banks, Reserve Bank of India (RBI), National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), a few Cooperative Banks, Life Insurance Corporation (LIC). Apart from the core business of IBPS, it also conducts recruitment exams for some non-financial Public Sector Undertakings and Entrance Exams for a few reputed Management Institutes and Universities.
IBPS PO Educational Qualification
The candidate willing to write the IBPS PO exam must be holding a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from a university recognised by the UGC/Government of India. Graduates from both Regular universities as well as Open universities are eligible for the IBPS PO exam, subject to their courses legally recognised by the respective Union/State Government and aligned with the UGC norms.
The candidate must be having a valid mark sheet/degree certificate indicating the date of his her graduating before they start filling the IBPS PO/MT application form.

IBPS PO Age Limits and Relaxation for Various Categories
A candidate must be between the age of 20 years and 30 years (both inclusive) to be eligible for the exam, however, the upper age limit has been relaxed for some categories as per follows:

IBPS PO Nationality/Citizenship Requirements
To be eligible for writing the IBPS PO/MT exam and considered eligible to get recruited, the candidate must meet any one of the following mentioned criteria:
- Citizen of India
- Subject of Bhutan
- Subject of Nepal
- Tibetan Refugee entering India on/before 1st January 1962.
- Person of Indian origin having migrated from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Burma, East African countries like Ethiopia, Zaire, Malawi, Zambia, Uganda, Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
In case the candidate belongs to any category apart from (A), he or she needs to have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Union Government of India.
