You should focus on the following aspects while preparing for the CSAT paper:

  • Improve your reading speed
  • Attempt mock tests. If you are scoring less than 100 marks in mock tests, you should spend more time on CSAT.
  • Solve previous years’ question papers
  • Ensure that your accuracy level is high
  • The CSAT assesses a candidate’s logical reasoning, analytical ability, judgement, interpersonal skills, and reading comprehension. 
  • Because CSAT is a qualifying exam, candidates should not take it for granted. As a result, despite more marks in General Studies Paper-I, these applicants did not qualify for the Mains exam.
  • While preparing for Prelims, make sure you devote enough time to CSAT preparation. The CSAT syllabus is well-defined and easy to prepare. Passing this test requires only one to two hours of daily study. Candidates should devote the required time to prepare for the CSAT exam.
  • Try to solve and examine previous year papers to find your weak spots. This will give you a sense of how well you are prepared.
