UPSC Civil Services 2020 Final Result was declared on 24th September 2021. IAS Interview took place in August and September 2021. UPSC Civil Services 2019 Final Result was declared on 4th August 2020. The IAS Interview took place in February, March and July 2020. In 2014, the last all-India rank was 95 fetched by a candidate who belongs to the General Category IAS and scored 953 out of 2025 marks. While the last all-India rank secured by the last OBC candidate who got into IAS was 466 with a total of 905 marks out of 2025. The SC category candidate scored 892 to secure the last all-India rank of 650. In contrast, the ST category candidate scored 878, which fetched the candidate the last all-India rank of 773, which is given below.

In 2010, the last all-India rank was 83fetched by a candidate who belongs to the General Category IAS. While the last all-India rank secured by the last OBC candidate who got into IAS was 233. The SC category secured the last all-India rank of 402 whereas the ST category candidate fetched the last all-India rank of 537, which is given below. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get the data of the marks scored.

UPSC Preparation Tips

Along with the above-given facts, candidates are advised to follow the tips given below to steer their IAS preparation effortlessly:

• Follow the right UPSC Books for preparation. The need to overburden oneself with a pile of irrelevant books would not be helpful. Always read selectively from the books mentioned in the linked article.
• As reiterated by various toppers, NCERTs are the foundation of UPSC preparation. Hence, one can get his/her hands on NCERT Notes for UPSC compiled in the linked article.
• Candidates often find themselves getting lured to read multiple topics in a haste thinking it would help them know more. However, one should be mindful while reading about the subjects only mentioned in the UPSC Syllabus. This will save them from getting distracted and keep them aligned.
