  • Shashank who hails from Kanpur quit the placement session of his college IIT Kanpur in the year 2013 and chose civil services and his decision of quitting the placement session definitely paid him well and his effort rewarded him with 5th rank in the UPSC Civil Services Exam.
  • This was Shashank’s second attempt for UPSC Exam and in his first attempt he cleared at 272 ranks and got into IRS (Indian Revenue system) and he was undergoing training for that in Nagpur.
  • Shashank wishes to serve as the IAS Officer in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

Shashank mantra of success for the UPSC exam was on the study that he had at once in his hand although he faced complications when he had to undergo study and training at the same time there were clashes in the times.

  • But his hard work and determination towards achieving this made him keep going and this was what he made in preparing for his second attempt.
  • Shashank was from the school of Deen Dayal Upadhyay School in Nawabganj in 2008 had secured a score of 93% and he set his goals high to achieve this prestigious post of the country since his graduation days.
