19,535 villages declared as “Sampoorna Sukanya Gram” under Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana campaign.
About the Sampoorna Sukanya Gram Campaign:
- The Campaign was launched in June 2019 to ensure last-mile reach to the Sukanya Samriddhi Account (SSA) Scheme.
- In this campaign, villages are marked ‘Sampoorna Sukanya Gram’ based on the coverage of the SSA scheme.
- Till March 2021, 19,535 villages have been declared as “Sampoorna Sukanya Gram” under Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana campaign.

Context:
Centre to celebrate ‘Good Governance Week’ from December 20-25, 2021.
Details:
- This is being observed as a part of Azaadi ka Amrut Mahotsav celebrations with the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances as the Nodal Department.
- A nationwide campaign for Redressal of Public Grievances and Improving Service Delivery titled ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Aur’ will be held in all Districts, States, and Union Territories of India.
- DARPG in collaboration with the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of External Affairs, and Ministry of Panchayati Raj and Rural Development will be convening various events during the week.
- The other events which would be convened are Good Governance in Ministry of External Affairs; Ease of Living and Next Phase of Reforms for Reducing Compliance Burden; Mission Karmayogi – The Path Ahead; Experience Sharing Workshop by DARPG on Best Practices in Initiative for Increasing Efficiency in Decision Making; Good Governance Day celebration by DARPG.
3. All-India Quarterly Establishment-based Employment Survey (AQEES)

Context:
Employment increased by 29% in nine selected sectors of the economy compared to the 6th Economic Census (2013-14).
Background:
- The All-India Quarterly Establishment Based Employment Survey (AQEES) was launched by the government in April 2021.
Details:
- As per the results of the first round of AQEES (April to June 2021), employment increased to 3.08 crore (29% jump) in the nine selected sectors of the economy against a total of 2.37 crores in these sectors taken collectively, as reported in the Sixth Economic Census (2013-14).
- The highest growth of 152% has been showcased by the IT/BPO sector followed by health (77%), transport (68%), construction (42%), education (39%) and manufacturing (22%).
