INET 2023 Syllabus

The Indian Navy is one of the most prominent naval forces in the world, responsible for protecting our country both above and below the ocean’s surface. The Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET) is a national-level entrance test used to select officers for several branches/entries of the Indian Navy, including Executive, Educational, and Technical. Selected applicants are awarded a Permanent Commission (PC) and a Short Service Commission (SSC) and trained at the Indian Naval Academy (INA) at Ezhimala, Kerala. The examination is conducted twice a year for unmarried male and female applicants.

The test will be held provisionally in February 2023 at several selected centres, across India. In this article, we will provide the syllabus for the upcoming INET, candidates who wish to apply for the exam must go through the exam syllabus before applying for the exam.

INET 2023: Overview

Candidates who wish to take the INET (Indian Navy Entrance Test) Examination 2023 should acquaint themselves with the syllabus and test pattern before beginning their preparation for the INET Exam. The INET Examination is a computer-based test, and candidates who pass it will be invited for an interview and a medical examination. It is critical to understand the syllabus in order to pass the test.

  • The exam is divided into four sections: Reasoning, English, General Knowledge and General Science.
  • Each question is worth four marks, and for each incorrect response, one mark is subtracted.
  • Each section consists of 25 questions.
  • To qualify for the INET test, students must score at least 50 percent on the total exam and 40 percent on each part/section.

INET 2023: SSB Interview

After qualifying the test candidates are called for SSB Interview. The Service Selection Board (SSB) interview is more than just a standard interview. The SSB lasts a few days (5-7 days). In this interview, candidates are assessed for their OLQs (Officer Like Qualities) in their personalities. The interview is divided into two parts:

  • Stage 1 consists of an intelligence test, a discussion, and a picture perception test.
  • Stage 2 consists of psychological testing, group testing, and an interview.
