The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will be holding the Indian Police Service (IPS) examination shortly. Eligibility Criteria For Candidates

  • A candidate should be a citizen of India.
  • Candidates who are refugees from Nepal, Tibet or Burma who exist in India as of 1st January 1962 are eligible.
  • Candidates who belong to India but reside in another country can also apply for the exam.
  • Applications should have finished their graduation from a recognized university, the Government of India, or any recognized foreign university, in any stream.
  • Candidates awaiting the result of their final year after appearing for exams at the graduate level from any recognized university.
  • Candidates should have completed at least 21 years of age and must not be over 30 years of age as of 1st August 2022. In this regard, certain relaxations are permitted to students belonging to OBC, SC, ST, ex-servicemen, persons with disabilities and more such categories.

Process to fill IPS Application Form

Application for IPS can be made online or offline by visiting the official website and downloading the application form. After filling in the relevant details, the application can be submitted online. Candidates should ensure that the form is submitted within the due date. The link to download the application form can be found on the website’s main page. Candidates will also need to attach the necessary proofs and documents while submitting the application and pay the requisite fee. Once the application is submitted successfully, the candidate will receive a registration number.
