The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) will issued the official notification for SEBI Recruitment 2023. SEBI conducts exams for all positions in the organisation: Phase-I and Phase-II.
- The Phase-I online screening examination consists of two papers, each totalling 100 marks.
- Candidates who qualify the Screening exam will go to the next round of the Online Examination.
- The Phase-II online examination likewise consists of two 100-marks exams.
- Incorrect attempts are marked negatively, in both: Phase 1 and Phase 2.
- Candidates will be invited to the final step of the interview process based on their performance in the online examination.

SEBI Grade A Officer Screening Test Exam Pattern- Phase 1
The Online Screening Test will be administered in Objective format. There are 200 questions in total: 100 from General Awareness, Aptitude, Reasoning, English Language, and another 100 from the Subject matter. The maximum score is 200. Important facts for SEBI Grade A 2023 Phase 1 Exam
- For Paper 1 and Paper 2 in Phase 1, there will be negative marking (1/4th of the marks allocated to the question).
- In Phase 1, there will be a minimum 30 percent cut-off for Paper 1 (no sectional cut-off) and a minimum 40 percent cut-off for Paper 2.
- Overall aggregate cut-off of 40% is needed to qualify for Phase 2 of the exam.
- All candidates who pass Phase 1 will be shortlisted for Phase 2. The list of individuals shortlisted for Phase II will be posted on the SEBI website.

SEBI Grade A Officer Online Test Exam Pattern: Phase 2
The applicants will be assessed on two papers during the second round of the Online exam. The first paper will be 100 marks and will be descriptive in nature. Paper-II will be objective in nature and for 100 marks. The entire pattern is as follows:

Important facts for SEBI Grade A 2023 Phase 2 Exam
- Paper 2 will be held in several shifts for students who have applied in multiple streams, the times of which will be specified on the Hall Ticket.
- Paper 2 in Phase II will have negative marking (1/4th of the marks allocated to the question) (except IT stream).
- In Phase II, there will be a minimum 30 percent cut-off for Paper 1 and a minimum 40 percent cut-off for Paper 2.
- To be considered for the Interview, candidates must achieve a distinct cut-off in each paper, as well as an aggregate cut-off of 50 percent in the Phase II test (weightage of 1/3rd for Paper 1 and 2/3rd for Paper 2).
- The list of individuals shortlisted for interviews will be posted on the SEBI website.
- Except for the English test, all question papers (in both Phases) will be set bilingually in Hindi and English.
