A total of 300 vacancies were released for the recruitment of Assistant Administrative Officers (Specialist) for the year 2023 which were comparatively less than the number of vacancies released for the 2019 recruitment. In 2019, LIC had released 590 vacancies for the recruitment of AAOs.

A candidate can only appear for the exam if he/she successfully complete the online application process. For the year 2023, the registration was completed on 31st January 2023.

The salary paid to an AAO in LIC is one major reason for the candidates attracting towards the insurance sector. A basic pay of Rs.32795/- per month is paid to the employee in the scale of Rs. 32795- 1610(14) – 55335 – 1745(4) – 62315.

A candidate once appointed shall be on a probation period of one year from the date of joining. This period can be extended for a period of two years based on the performance of the employee.

Apart from this, the appointed candidate shall be liable to sign a guarantee bond which requires them to serve the company for a minimum time period of four years, failing which he/she shall have to pay Rs. 5,00,000/- to the organisation.
