LIC AAO Syllabus for Descriptive Paper:

This section consists of two questions:

  1. Essay
  2. Letter Writing

The descriptive part is in English, except for candidates appearing for Rajbhasha. Since it is only qualifying in nature, candidates must read the instructions thoroughly and keep in mind the writing structure and word limits.

Candidates must work on their vocabulary and be aware of Indian and International news and events as they make up for the topics of the essay. Candidates are given a choice between a formal and informal letter. This selection must also be made wisely.
