The LIC ADO notification is released zone-wise and the number of vacancies differs for each region. However, the LIC ADO syllabus is the same for the recruitment of Apprentice Development Officers in all the regions.

LIC ADO Exam Pattern
The candidates aiming to join the LIC industry as a LIC ADO should start preparing for the exam soon.Â
The LIC ADO Exam is conducted in three phases:
- Written exam
- Interview
- Medical Test
The written exam is a computer-based exam and consist of two rounds:
- Round-I: Preliminary Examination
- Round-II: Mains Examination
The LIC ADO examination is conducted for three different categories:
- Open Market: open for all the candidates
- LIC Employee: open for candidates who are full time, salaried employee of LIC (under Grade III)
- LIC Agent: open for candidates who work as agents under LIC.

The number of questions for each paper is 35.
Therefore, the maximum marks for Prelims are 70 as the marks for the English language is of qualifying nature and is not considered for the ranking.
Out of the above 3 categories, Open Market category consists of 2 phases:

- Mains
Whereas, candidates only need to appear for LIC Mains exam for LIC Employee and LIC Agent category.
LIC ADO Mains Exam consists of three papers:
- Paper-I: Reasoning Ability & Numerical Ability
- Paper-II: General Knowledge, Current Affairs & English Language
- Paper-III: Insurance Marketing

Personal Interview:
The candidates who qualify the cut-off marks in the Mains Examination are called for an interview round. The interview is of 37 marks and includes aptitude based questions to check the reasoning and thinking capability of the candidate.
