The details of the NIACL AO 2022 Vacancy have not yet been released. The number of openings will be listed as soon as the official notification is made public. A total of 300 applications were invited by the New India Assurance Company Limited in 2021 to fill the post of Administrative Officer in the Scale-I cadre as generalist officers.

NIACL AO Job profile for Generalists:

Candidates appointed as AO Generalists in NIACL have to perform Claim settlements, risk assessment, underwriting, and Supervision of Assistants’ work. They will also perform verification of risk proposals and authorization of claims.

NIACL AO Job profile for Specialists:

• Company Secretary: The work profile of NIACL AO Company Secretary involves the efficient administration with regard to ensuring that decisions of the board of directors are implemented and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements are maintained.
• Legal Officer: NIACL AO Job profile of a Legal Officer involves handling of all legal affairs of the Company. Prepare legal documents and provide legal assistance in various issues of the Company. Monitoring the errors and keeping the authenticity of the documents i.e.Contracts and agreements of the Company.
• Finance & Accounts Officer: NIACL AO job role for this profile involves the management of the financial bookkeeping of the company, sending bills, processing refunds, resolving billing issues, interaction with collection agencies on past-due accounts, preparation of budgets and managing records and receipts, reconciling transactions and preparing balance sheets etc.

Career Growth and Promotion:

• Promotion for NIACL AOs is based on a number of factors, including success on internal exams, level of experience, and certification. 
• Based on their work performance and internal exams, NIACL Administrative Officers are given constant career advancement and promotion opportunities. 
• After three years of service, the NIACL AO will be qualified for promotion through an internal exam. 
• The candidates will be promoted to the Scale II Officer position if they do well on the internal exam. 
• The NIACL AO will be qualified for promotions after 5 years of service based on their seniority, in addition to the internal tests.

Candidates who clear the NIACL AO examination are appointed as Scale-I officers in the New India Assurance Company Limited.

The NIACL AO salary structure for a scale-I officer is as mentioned below:

• The candidates chosen for the AO position will have to serve a one-year probationary period beginning on their joining date.
• The chosen AO will need to submit an agreement promising to work for NIACL for a least four years, including the probationary term.
• The basic salary of Rs 32,795 in the pay scale of Rs 32,795-1610(14)-55335-1745 (4)- 62315, as well as other allowances as appropriate, would be paid to candidates who are chosen for the position of NIACL AO.

Aspirants of the NIACL AO examination have to register themselves for the same on the official website of NIACL.

Application for the NIACL AO exam is accepted only through online mode. Candidates who wish to apply for NIACL AO 2022 exam should follow the given procedure.

Steps to apply for NIACL AO form 2022:

• Visit the Official Website of NIACL i.e. www.newindia.co.in/
• Click the option “Apply online.”
• Choose “Click here for new registration.”
• Enter your Name, Contact details and a valid mail Id.
• A provisional registration number and password will be generated and sent to the number and mail Id given by you.
• Log in with the registration number and password provided during the application. Fill up the information asked and click on “Save and Next.”
• Recheck the details given, choose “Validate your details” and then click “Save and Next.”
• Upload your photo and signature as per the specifications given in the notification.
• Click preview to check the information provided by you and choose “Final Submit” only after verifying.
• Click on the Payment Tab, and proceed with the details.
• Click on Submit.
• Take a printout of the final Application form for future reference.

NIACL AO – Application Fee

The application fee for the NIACL AO exam is non-refundable in any case and cannot be reserved for any other exam or selection.

Also, the transaction charge, if any, is to be borne by the candidates.

Before applying online, a candidate will be required to have a scanned (digital) image of his/her photograph and signature as per the specifications given below.

• Photograph Image:

• • • Photograph must be a recent passport-style colour picture.
    • Dimensions 200 x 230 pixels (preferred)
    • Size of file should be between 20kb–50 kb
    • Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 50kb. 

• Signature

• • • The applicant has to sign on white paper with a black Ink pen.
    • Signature/handwritten declaration in CAPITAL LETTERS shall NOT be accepted

• Left thumb impression:

• • The applicant has to put his left thumb impression on a white paper with black or blue ink.
  • File type: jpg/jpeg
  • Dimensions: 240 x 240 pixels in 200 DPI i.e. 3 cm * 3 cm (Width * Height)
  • File Size: 20 KB – 50 KB
• Hand-written declaration:
  • The applicant has to write the declaration in English clearly on a white paper with black or blue ink.
  • File type: jpg/jpeg
  • Dimensions: 800 x 400 pixels in 200 DPI i.e. 10 cm * 5 cm (Width * Height)
  • File Size: 50 KB – 100 KB

Pre-Examination training:

The organisation conducts the pre-examination training for a certain category of candidates. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic situation, the company might conduct the pre-examination training using online resources, depending on viability. Candidates who wish to make use of pre-examination training may specify this when applying online if they are SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy)/PwBD.

Candidates who selected the training will also be notified through registered email or mobile. Please be aware that no candidate has any right to receive an offer of employment from the Company just by participating in the Pre-Examination Training.

The NIACL AO Admit card is released 15 days before the AO exam by the New India Assurance Company Limited. Admit card for the NIACL AO exam is released separately for the three phases of the exam, i.e. Prelims, Mains and Interview Process.

NIACL AO call letter for the year 2022 will be available for download a few days before the date of examination. Candidates can download the NIACL AO call letter from the official website of NIACL by entering their registration number and password generated while applying for the Administrative Officer exam.

The test will be conducted online at the locations specified by their individual call letters. Changes to the exam’s centre, location, date, or session are not permitted. There are different lists of exam centres for different stages of the examination. 

Aspirants of NIACL AO 2023 must fulfil the eligibility conditions prescribed in the official notification of the NIACL AO exam.

The eligibility conditions to appear for the NIACL AO exam are segregated on the basis of

• Nationality
• Education Qualification
• Age limit & relaxation

Since the official notification for NIACL AO 2023 is not yet released, the candidates are provided the eligibility criteria based on the notification of the previous year.

NIACL AO – Nationality

The NIACL AO eligibility criteria in terms of Nationality for the Administrative Officer Job are as mentioned below:

A candidate must be:

• A citizen of India, or
• A subject of Nepal, or
• A subject of Bhutan, or
• A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
• A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India Provided that a candidate shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

NIACL AO- Education Qualification

The minimum qualification for the NIACL AO exam is a Graduate or Post Graduate degree from any government-recognised University in any discipline.

Candidates who apply for the Generalist cadre and belong to reserved categories like SC/ST/PWD must have at least 55% marks, and at least 60% marks are required for a General candidate to be eligible to appear for the NIACL AO exam.

For the Administrative Officer- Specialist Cadre, the education qualification for applicants goes as under (not applicable for 2021):

*Candidates with MBA Or PGDM Finance must furnish a certificate from the university confirming their specialization in finance at the interview, failing which will disqualify them from appearing for the interview round.

Salient points related to educational qualification for the NIACL AO exam:

NIACL AO Age Limit & Relaxation

As per the NIACL AO age limit eligibility conditions, a candidate must be born not earlier than April 2, 1991, and not later than April 1, 2000.

The minimum age limit to appear for the NIACL AO exam is 21 years and the maximum age limit is 30 years.

The recruitment process will begin with an initial online test that will be objective in nature. The Mains test, which consists of both objective and descriptive papers, is next taken by all applicants who proceed from the preliminary stage.

The Mains examination will be used to shortlist candidates who will then be invited to an interview. The official website will post the results. Final selection will be determined by the combined scores of the main exam (objective test) and interview. The final merit list will be compiled in descending order of the candidates’ total marks. The merit list will be used to determine which candidates will be given consideration for appointment. 

Depending on the Management’s decision, the chosen candidates may be hired in more than one batch. According to the merit/selection list, the selected applicants’ seniority will be determined. If the candidates chosen in the final merit list do not accept an employment offer, a waiting list of applicants who do not exceed 50% of the available positions may also be created and used.

Any changes in the NIACL AO exam pattern and syllabus in the year 2022 will be notified through the NIACL Administrative Officer’s official notification.

As mentioned, NIACL AO Syllabus for Prelims exam covers three sections, i.e. Reasoning, Numerical Ability and English. Similarly, the NIACL AO Syllabus for the Mains exam covers four sections that include General Awareness apart from the above three sections.

The descriptive section of the Mains exam also asks questions related to professional knowledge only for the applicants of the AO Specialist cadre.
