Aspirants qualifying the Prelims and the Mains examination, need to appear for a regional language test before the final selection. This test is of qualifying nature, and no separate marks will be awarded for it. Final selection will be made on the basis of performance in the online Mains examination as well as in the Regional Language Test.

Candidates are advised to go through the following steps while applying for the NIACL Assistant Exam:

  1. On visiting the official website, open the “Recruitment” page and click on “Apply Online”.
  2. Fill up the registration form and enter all the essential information asked.
  3. Candidates should provide a valid email-id and phone number while registering for the exam.
  4. After completing the registration process, a password and an application number will be generated by the system which will be required for any future reference.
  5. A scanned copy of photo, signature and left thumb impression of the candidate is required while registering.
  6. Candidates should provide scanned copies of all the marks-card,photo-ID card and other essential documents mentioned before submitting the application form.
