IIT Jammu or Indian Institute of Technology Jammu, was established in 2016. The campus is situated in the village of Jagti, in Nagrota Tehsil, in the Jammu district. The campus is spread across 400 acres of lush green land. During the early stage, the institute functioned under the mentorship of IIT Delhi. IIT Jammu is acknowledged as an Institute of National Importance under the Institutes of Technology Act.
