SSC MTS Eligibility: Ex-Servicemen
The eligibility criteria for Ex-Servicemen in the SSC MTS (Staff Selection Commission Multi-Tasking Staff) exam are provided below:
- Candidates who have served in any rank, whether as a combatant or non-combatant, in the Regular Army, Navy, and Air Force of the Indian Union. They should meet the following conditions:
- Have been retired, relieved, or discharged from such service, either at their own request or by employer’s decision after earning their pension.
- Have been relieved from such service on medical grounds attributable to military service or circumstances beyond their control, and awarded medical or another disability pension.
- Have been released from such service as a result of a reduction in establishment.
- Candidates who have been released from such service after completing the specific period of engagement, other than at their own request, dismissal, or discharge due to misconduct or inefficiency, and have been given a gratuity. This category includes personnel of the Territorial Army, namely, pension holders for continuous embodied service or broken spells of qualifying service.
- Personnel of the Army Postal Service who are part of the Regular Army, retired from the Army Postal Service without reversion to their parent service, with a pension, or released from the Army Postal Service on medical grounds attributable to or aggravated by military service or circumstances beyond their control, and awarded medical or another disability pension.
- Personnel who were on deputation in Army Postal Service for more than six months before April 14, 1987.
- Gallantry award winners of the Armed Forces, including personnel of the Territorial Army.
- Ex-recruits who were boarded out or relieved on medical grounds and granted a medical disability pension.
