The notification announced 322 fresh vacancies for the recruitment of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) across various security forces such as the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). The notification also provides a table below, allowing interested candidates to check the distribution of vacancies for each security force. On 26th April 2023, the Union Public Service Commission released the notification and application form for the UPSC CAPF Exam 2023 on its official website
The selection for the posts will be done in three stages namely the Written Test, the Medical test and the Personality/Interview exam. There are 7 forces are under CAPF. They are
- Assam Rifles (AR)
- Border Security Force (BSF)
- Central Industrial Security Force (CISF)
- Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)
- Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP)
- National Security Guard (NSG).
- Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).

CAPF 2023 Vacancies
As per the CAPF 2023 notification, a total of 322 vacancies have been released for the CAPF UPSC Recruitment 2023. The UPSC CAPF releases vacancies for each branch separately, allowing applicants to check the vacancies for their desired branch. This year’s total number of vacancies is higher compared to the previous year.
