In 1953, the Board Of Secondary Education Of Andhra Pradesh (BSEAP) also known as the Directorate of Government Examinations was established to execute and govern various activities of Secondary education of Andhra Pradesh. AP SSC Board is an autonomous department functioning under the Ministry of Secondary education, Government of Andhra Pradesh and supervises the system of Secondary education in Andhra Pradesh State playing the following roles:

  • Devising the courses of study
  • Prescribing syllabus
  • Conducting examinations
  • Granting recognition to schools
  • Providing support, leadership and direction for all secondary educational institutions under its jurisdiction.

The AP Board Class 10 examination, popularly known as the SSC exam, is conducted by the Directorate of Government Examinations, twice in a year. The Annual exam is conducted in the month of March and the Advanced Supplementary Examination is conducted in May/June. Every year, over six lakh of students from across the state appear for the SSC exam. In addition to SSC examinations, the board also conducts other minor exams. AP SSC Board Exams Date Sheet

 This year, the Andhra Pradesh government had decided to cancel the SSC or Class 10 examination in the state amid the rising number of COVID-19 cases. Meanwhile, for the academic year 2018-2019, the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) public exams commenced from March 18, 2019, to April 2, 2019. The date sheet or the timetable for Class 10 SSC exam 2020 was released on the official site of the Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh – bseap.org. How to download hall tickets?

The Class 10 exams this year were to start from March, so the board had released the admit cards earlier. This year, the admit card was released on 19 March 2020. Meanwhile, admit cards for SSC board 2019 was released likely in the second week of February 2019. The hall ticket can either be downloaded online from the official site or can be collected offline from the school. The steps to follow to download the hall ticket online are as follows:

  • Open the official BSEAP website
  • Click on SSC March 2019 Hall tickets
  • Select your category
  • Select your district
  • Select your school
  • Enter your name
  • Enter your date of birth
  • Click on the download button
  • Download the hall ticket, save it on the desktop and take a print out

AP SSC Board Grading System

The performance of the students in the AP SSC Board Examination is evaluated and generated by the Nine-point relative grading System introduced by BSEAP a few years back.
