IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern

The IBPS clerk examination is conducted in two stages.

IBPS Clerk Mains Exam Analysis

Thought the IBPS Clerk Exam 2019-2020 is scheduled to happen on January 19, 2020, but based on past experiences it can be said that the overall level of the clerical mains exam is always moderately difficult. We will update the analysis for IBPS Clerk Mains Exam 2020 once the exam is done.

As per the IBPS Clerk exam analysis for the Mains exam held for 2018-2019, the type of questions was repetition from previous editions of the exam. However, there were a few surprises in store for candidates.

The IBPS Clerk Mains exam for 2018-2019 was held on 20th January 2019 with two sections of 35 minutes and two sections of 45 minutes duration each.

  • General English: This section was difficult as compared to previous editions of the exam. The majority of the questions were asked from reading comprehension.
  • Reasoning and Computer Aptitude: This section was a mix of moderate and difficult questions. The dominant portion of this section was seating arrangements and puzzles. There were no questions from computer aptitude.
  • Quantitative Aptitude: This section was of moderate difficulty. The data interpretation questions were dominant in the exam and mixed questions made up the next largest portion.
