IBPS PO Mains

The IBPS PO Mains Exam is held after the results of the prelims exam is declared. This stage of the exam is very important as the IBPS PO Mains result is used not only to qualify the candidate but also to determine the merit ranking. The total marks allotted for this exam are 225. The IBPS PO Mains duration is 3 hours and 30 minutes. The descriptive examination consists of one letter and an essay related to a general awareness topic.

The IBPS PO Mains syllabus is of an honours degree level for the English Language sections, while other sections are at a normal undergraduate level. However, the complexity of questions is more as compared to the prelims syllabus.

IBPS PO Mains Result

The IBPS PO Mains result is declared in the months of December and January of the consecutive years. For CRP PO/MT IX, the result and the merit list will be used to call candidates for the IBPS interview. The following are the important dates related to the main examination:
