Sir …i am from engineering background…..actually i prepared for jee but due to low rank ….i couldn’t took admission nd changed my background from science to arts streams……but still i have keen intrest in mathematics subject…..so please sir tell me that ……..i can choose mathematics as my optional paper inspite of arts background 🙏
    Right now i have only knowledge up to 12th level in mathematics

    • You can choose mathematics but the level is quite advanced in UPSC. Usually, the optional subject syllabus is between BA(BSc) and MA(MSc) level.
