SSC MTS Exam Selection: Stage 1

The SSC MTS Paper-I comprises a total of 90 questions, carrying a weightage of 270 marks. The Paper 1 exam pattern consists of multiple-choice questions in all the sections: 

• Reasoning
• English Language
• Numerical Aptitude 
• General Awareness

• In Session 2, there is a negative marking of 1 mark for each incorrect answer. However, there is no negative marking in Session 1.
• For visually handicapped candidates with cerebral palsy, the allotted time for each session is 45 minutes.

Although there is no sectional cutoff, the overall cutoff mark for the CBT is determined by the Commission. It is important to note that the cutoff marks for SSC MTS Paper 1 may vary for different states and Union Territories (UTs). SSC MTS Selection: Stage 2: PET/ PST For Havaldar Posts

Candidates who have applied for the Havaldar post in CBIC and CBN as part of the SSC MTS selection process will be required to undergo a Physical Efficiency Test (PET) after qualifying in SSC MTS Tier 1. SSC MTS Selection Stage 3: Document Verification

After the candidates successfully pass the Tier 1 anf Tier 2 of the MTS exam, they will be called Document Verification. SSC MTS Document Verification is the final stage of the selection process. Selected candidates must produce the following documents during the verification round:

• 10th and 12th certificates
• Caste/Category Certificate (if applicable)
• Certificate for age relaxation (if applicable)
• Documents supporting name change (if applicable)
• Equivalent Educational Qualification Order/Letter (if applicable)
• Ex-Servicemen related documents (if applicable)

SSC MTS Selection: Tie Breaker

In the SSC MTS Selection Process 2023, in case of a tie in the aggregate marks of candidates, the following methods will be used to resolve the tie:

• Higher marks in SSC MTS Session 2: The candidate who obtains higher marks in Session 2 of the exam will be given preference.
• Date of birth: If the tie persists, the candidate who is older in age will be given preference.
• Alphabetical order: If the tie still exists, the names of the candidates will be considered in alphabetical order to determine the final preference.
