Converting Yards to Feet
We convert yards to feet by multiplying the particular value in yards by 3.
As we know, 1 yd = 3 ft
For example, if we have to convert 12 yards to feet, then the conversion is,
12 yards = 12 x 3 = 36 feet

Example 1: Convert 15 yards to feet.
Solution: Conversion of 15 yards to feet is stated.
According to the conversion of units,
1 yd = 3 ft
Hence, 15 yd, will be multiplied by 3.
15 yd = 15 x 3 = 45 ft
Thus, 15 yards when converted results in 45 feet.
Example 2: Agnes goes for a walk every morning, and she walks a distance of 850 yards. What is the distance Agnes walks in feet?
Solution: The distance covered by Agnes on her morning walk = 850 yards
In order to find the distance in feet, we have to convert the distance in yards to the distance she covered in feet.
As we know, 1 yd = 3 ft
So, 850 yards = 850 x 3 = 2550 feet
Hence, Agnes covers a distance of 2550 feet on her morning walk.
Example 3: Find the value of 384 yards in terms of feet as a unit.
Solution: According to the conversion of units,
1 yd = 3 ft
Hence, 384 yd = 384 x 3 = 1152 ft
So, 384 yards when converted to feet will give 1152 feet.
