Bhadla Solar Park in Rajasthan is the largest solar power plant in India and the world. It is a solar photovoltaic power plant. The project was started in 2015. Around $1.4 billion have been invested into this project. It is spread over a total area of 5,700 hectares or 14,000 acres in Bhadla, Phalodi tehsil, Jodhpur district, Rajasthan, India.
The park has a total capacity of 2245 MW and comprises 10 million solar panels. This vast project has gone through 4 phases of construction. The solar panels of this project are cleaned by robots and monitored by humans.

Development of Bhadla Solar Park
The solar park has been developed by multiple entities and in a phased manner. 745 MW of the projects has been constructed by Rajasthan Solar Park Development Company Limited (RSPDCL), which is a subsidiary of Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited (RRECL).
Saurya Urja Company of Rajasthan, which is a joint venture of the government of Rajasthan and IL&FS Energy Development Company, has developed 1000 MW of the project. Another 500 MW has been developed by Adani Renewable Energy Park, which is a joint venture between Adani Enterprises and the Government of Rajasthan. When its total capacity is operational, the park will become the world’s largest fully commissioned project, with investment rising to Rs 10,000 crore (US$1.3 billion).
