As per the GATE Exam pattern, about 15% of marks weightage is accounted by the General Aptitude section, while about 13% is from Engineering Mathematics, and the remaining 72% is by the core subject paper. Also, the disciplines like the AR, CY, EY, GG, MA, PH, and XL, comprises just two sections in the question paper, i.e. General Aptitude section with15% of the total marks and the particular discipline amounting to the rest of the marks’ weightage.
